About Adventurers Nursery
Adventurers Nursery, located in 64 Sylvan Road, opened in January 2025 as the newest addition to Devon Nurseries. It features multiple dedicated rooms for children, a dining area, and a spacious outdoor play area.
Adventurers Nursery is working towards accreditation for The Curiosity Approach.
The nursery operates from 7:45am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, and welcomes children aged between 3 months and 5 years.

Early Years Professional
Kimberley Lester was instrumental in the start-up of Adventurers Nursery. Previously working at Acorns Nursery since 2004 and has been the manager there since 2009.
Kimberley is passionate about providing children with a nursery home in which to learn, grow and develop their curiosity.
Kimberley has two children of her own, both of whom attended Devon Nurseries.
Sam Mulcahy

L3 Early Years Qualification
Sam Mulcahy has been the deputy of Adventurers since it opened in 2025. She has previously worked at Tic Tocs and Acorns for over 15 years. Sam is passionate about early years education. She supports Kimberley and the Adventurers team to provide high quality child care and education.
Our Teams
The rooms at Adventurers are all led by experienced staff and we ensure that each team has at least the required amount of qualified staff expected by Ofsted.
We also employ a nursery cook who provides balanced and nutritious daily meals all cooked from fresh produce.
We support our staff in their training and development to enable them to provide quality education and care at Adventurers Nursery.
