Parent Partnerships

The relationship between parents and carers of the children attending the nurseries is very important to us and good communication is vital.

These relationships are fostered through the implementation of a key person approach and is further supported through sharing information with parents in discussions, through Famly, and at planned events.

The Devon Nurseries staff team aim to encourage children to be confident, independent and to develop their self esteem, to grow and thrive in a positive atmosphere using a wide range of learning resources and varied play in a happy and safe environment.

  • Staff encourage children to develop their confidence, become thinkers & talkers, use their imagination and build positive, social relationships.
  • We believe in treating children and staff fairly and encourage acceptance of the individual, promoting equal opportunities at all times.
  • We aim to encourage atmospheres in which the children can feel a sense of belonging and are encouraged to express their emotions and respond positively with adults and other children.
