Our nursery group has the shared vision of providing quality early education and care in safe, happy and stimulating environments. We aim to provide activities, resources, experiences and opportunities that allow children to develop holistically.

The Management Team are based in the top office of our Acorns Nursery. We are also lucky enough to also have a Finance Team who are based in our ABC Nursery.
Parent Partnerships
The relationship between parents and carers of the children attending the nurseries is very important to us and good communication is vital.
These relationships are fostered through the implementation of a key person approach and is further supported through sharing information with parents in discussions, through Famly, and at planned events.
The Devon Nurseries staff team aim to encourage children to be confident, independent and to develop their self esteem, to grow and thrive in a positive atmosphere using a wide range of learning resources and varied play in a happy and safe environment.
- Staff encourage children to develop their confidence, become thinkers & talkers, use their imagination and build positive, social relationships.
- We believe in treating children and staff fairly and encourage acceptance of the individual, promoting equal opportunities at all times.
- We aim to encourage atmospheres in which the children can feel a sense of belonging and are encouraged to express their emotions and respond positively with adults and other children.

Otis has always been inquisitive, so the curiosity approach has been perfect for him!
Otis started at Adventures on opening day in January 2025. Otis is thriving at Adventurers, and we are so pleased with our choice. Returning to work-full time with no family in the area was daunting, but Adventurers has been a massive support to us – they have been great with communication, helping us navigate allergies and illness and really helping Otis in his weaning journey. They are always welcoming and it’s clear that they genuinely care about the children in their care. Otis is growing in confidence and has built strong relationships with all of the staff; he is always happy to be dropped off and is having lots of fun when we collect him. Otis has always been inquisitive, so the curiosity approach has been perfect for him! The staff are working hard to create a nurturing and enriching environment and we’re so excited to see Otis continue to grow with Adventurers.
We can’t thank ABC Nursery enough
Thomas started at ABC in early 2020 and has loved his time here. Watching him grow and learn new things has been a delight over the last few years. He loves his time at nursery, especially singing nursery rhymes and playing in the outside space. During his time in both the Adventurers and Investigators he has grown close to the nursery workers, often talking about them at home.
We can’t thank ABC Nursery enough for supporting Tommy through all the stages in his young life so far and continuing to do so. It’s a relief as a working parent to know he is having a great time in safe hands, especially when the guilt about working kicks in! He is very excited to go to pre-school in September leading up to starting school next year. I know his time at ABC will prepare him fully for that next step up.
Our children have thrived since attending the nursery
Between my 2 children we have experienced all 4 rooms within Acorns.
Both my children have dietary needs, and as a family our preference has been to limit details and photographs on the app used by all parents who have children attending the setting. I have also required some flexibility and additional days ad hoc due to my job.
I can safely say that all the above has been fully respected and supported by Acorns.
Our children have thrived since attending the nursery, and with communicating across at least 6 of the staff, all of them have demonstrated real care, genuine interest, and support for our children. I have never once regretted sending our children to Acorns. Keep doing exactly what you are doing.
Couldn't be happier with our Discovery experience
We moved from London to Exeter in 2021 and I had to find a nursery placement before we arrived. Obviously I was nervous about how Lottie would feel in a new environment, but I have never needed to worry. From her first day she has loved it there.
The staff create such wonderful, inventive and interesting learning daily activities for the children and Lottie always comes home full of excitement about her day. I love being able to use the Famly app to get in contact and see pictures and updates about what the children have been doing.
The staff are friendly, caring and attentive. The management staff are great at promptly answering any queries I have about payments or time off etc. All the staff are great! Couldn’t be happier with our Discovery experience.
Tic Tocs was the best choice for me and my family!
Reuben started at Tic Tocs Day Nursery in September 2021. As a lockdown baby, I was initially anxious about separating with him because the first 18 months of his life had been spent solely with me. The nursery and staff were excellent at integrating him into his first room, The Ladybirds. In turn it helped to ease my worries as well.
The staff are all so friendly and happy to discuss any issues and offer their expertise when needed. The nursery itself is just lovely with great facilities for the children. Reuben comes home ecstatic about playing with the cars and in the garden. All of the staff members are attentive and caring and I can tell that Reuben is so well looked after there as he’s always eager to go to nursery! If he hurts himself then the staff will cuddle him which is something that brings me great comfort to know that if my child is hurt, his emotional needs are being met as well as his physical. Overall I could not fault this nursery. It was the best choice for me and my family in a great central location. It is safe and friendly and has exceeded all of the standards I had set regarding where to send my child. Well done Tic Tocs!
