About Acorns Nursery
Acorns Nursery, on Alphington Road, was opened in 1996 and joined our group in 2006. It has 4 main rooms for children set over 2 floors, a dining room and 3 large gardens.
Acorns Nursery offers a home from home environment for children to learn and grow.
The nursery is open from 7:45am – 6pm Monday to Friday, and welcomes children aged between 3 months – 5 years.

The manager of the nursery, Amanda Turner or her deputy, Chloe Matthews will be more than happy to show you around and tell you all about the quality education and care they provide.

Amanda Turner joined the company in 2011 and has worked in all of our Devon Nurseries becoming the manager at Acorns in 2025.
Amanda is passionate about early years education and strives to provide high quality child care and education.
Chloe May Matthews

Chloe May Matthews joined the company in 2012 is the deputy manager at Acorns.
Chloe is passionate about early years education. She supports Amanda and the Acorns team to provide high quality child care and education.
Our Teams
The 4 rooms at Acorns are all led by experienced staff and we ensure that each team has at least the required amount of qualified staff expected by Ofsted.
We also employ a nursery cook who provides balanced and nutritious daily meals all cooked from fresh produce.
We support our staff in their training and development to enable them to provide quality education and care at Acorns Nursery.
