Father’s Day at Devon Nurseries

At Devon Nurseries, we know the importance of strong parent partnerships and showing authentic connections through our staff, the children and their parents/carers.
For a strong partnership, there must be good communication; valued trust and constant collaboration and working together to support the children.
This Father’s Day, our Devon Nurseries have been celebrating all Fathers, grandfathers, uncles & carers to help children understand the importance of family and appreciating their loved ones.

Tic Tocs’ Father’s Day Scavenger Hunt

At Tic Tocs, we invited all our Tic Tocs dads to come in for some quality time with their children in a special Father’s Day Scavenger Hunt! The children and their families were sent off to hunt for 10 photos around the nursery, once finding them they had to take a selfie with it to prove they had found it! There were questions about the photos that they could answer to add a little bit of challenge for the older ones, like how many keys are there? What animal is on the front of the book? Once finding them the families had drinks and biscuits altogether before being awarded a certificate for taking part. There were a lot of silly faced selfies, giggles and smiley faces from both grown ups and the children.

Trophies at ABC

The Adventurers at ABC have been getting creative and making special trophies to talk about and appreciate their daddies! The aim of this trophy making was to encourage the younger children to talk about reasons why they appreciate their dads. They mentioned things they did such as splashing in the bath, playing in the garden and going swimming. The children seemed so proud of their dads and enjoyed making their creations to give as gifts.

Burger & A Beer for all Dad’s at Acorns

At Acorns, we had a special celebration in the Sun! The Acorns’ dad’s came into the garden for a burger and a beer to celebrate the joys of fatherhood! They got to enjoy games and face paints with their children, spending some quality time bonding and enjoying the Monday sunshine.

The Burrow and Snug children encouraged their dads to build the biggest tower in 20 seconds working in teams to see whose tower was the biggest! The Den did a dirty bike wash and The Hive did water sea life and cutting and sticking.
