Nursery Trips Out
Let’s explore the world around us! At Our Devon Nurseries, we always make room for nursery trips out. A stroll down the quay, a trip to the park, a walk on the beach: nursery outings are so important in connecting children to the local area they live in; provide them with rich learning opportunities including interactive hands-on experiences and develop their curiosity, self confidence and imagination.
A Walk to the Park at ABC
The ABC Preschoolers have been on a nature and mini beasts hunt! They put on their binoculars and took a walk to the park.
At the park, the children were surrounded by nature observing the fallen bark from the trees; the fish in the ponds; ladybirds on the leaves and all the wonderful nature the park had to offer.
The Preschool children also got physical. Practicing their large motor movements by climbing trees, running around, throwing sticks in the river and an all time favourite, blowing the seeds of the dandelions!
Safety Procedures of Nursery Trips Out
Safety Procedures are very important to us here at Devon Nurseries and this is something that we teach the children.
During the walk, the children learnt all about road safety.
They were encouraged to the side of the pavement furthest away from the road. They were also encourage to stay as a group and listen to any instructions from the adults.
Another very important lesson is to always show children how to cross the road. Encourage them to look both ways to check for cars before crossing.
