Mother’s Day Celebrations

At our Devon Nurseries, it’s very important to us that the children feel their home and nursery lives are connected. Parent partnerships are an important part of our company ethos and all our nurseries work with every family to benefit their children. We do this through constant communication, progress journeys and the most exciting part, parent stay and play events!

On Friday 17th March, we had some very special Mother’s Day Celebrations at our Acorns Nursery! We held a bohemian  mother’s and grandmother’s cream tea afternoon! What a great way to end the week and show our gratitude for all mothers with some flower play dough, floral crown making and most importantly, proud children showing their even prouder mother’s around the nursery!

Bringing Families Together

We had a great turn out of 56 parents & carers visiting Acorns’ special afternoon! It was wonderful to watch the children interact with their peers, the staff and their parents as they explored new invitations to play amongst the new environment of their mummas playing with them!
Not only will parent partnerships develop trust between adult parties, it will help children feel more settled in new environments where they can see the important bonds between the adults.

At our Devon Nurseries, there are always opportunities to get the families involved with nursery life. Acorns has held some BBQ & Beer Father’s Day afternoons and some special Christmas story & hot chocolate afternoons.
There are always ways to get families involved keeping parent partnerships strong. This is an important part of the Devon Nurseries’ ethos.
